METAL IN STRINGS
Making art constructs, using unconventional materials, opens my imagination and pushes me to innovate. I try to explore the limits of the combination of metal strings and iron nails on a wooden base. The challenge of using strings to create contrast and fine details fascinates me. I always wanted to approach different paths and creating string art using metal wire serves my approach. I see my work as a process of evolution. Every new work is a challenge in itself where I have to find new ways of creating different shapes. The process brings out my inner-self which wants to test my patience and my ability to fabricate something unique and raw which is not influenced by any prior reference or work.
The expertise of Ayrton Senna in Formula1 and his philanthropist characteristics outside racing motivated me to complete this string art construct. Making the champagne was the most detailed work I have done in my 2 years of string artwork.
